As an assistant, you will be assisted in providing education support (exercises, practicals), but you also start research work that can lead to a doctorate. ASSISTANT MATHEMATICS The Science and Technology Group Kulak provides a range of bachelor programs. Within these courses, a large and diverse package of mathematics courses is provided. Most of these courses include exercise sessions or practicals. These sessions are led by assistants, practical assistants or doctoral students. Website of the unit Function You train and arrange training sessions and mathematics courses in various courses of mathematics provided by the Kulak Science and Technology Group. You will discuss these didactic assignments with the responsible professors. You support the relevant groups of students when studying these subjects. You help in the preparation and improvement of exams and interim tests. You are interested in scientific research in the field of pure mathematics (algebra, group theory, algebraic topology) and are willing to engage you in this. You work under the supervision of a responsible professor at a research topic in this area, with a view to obtaining a doctorate in mathematics. Profile You recently obtained (or graduate this academic year) a master's degree in mathematics, preferably with a final work in pure mathematics. You have clearly distinguished yourself during your studies. You have written and oral language proficiency and you can teach for a group of students. You love education guidance and show that during your performance. You can work independently and work together in a team. You are perfect Dutch, and you can express language, both verbally and in writing, in English.
