Postdoctoral Scholar Position

UCI’s Efficient Algorithms Design Group, led by Professor Vijay Vazirani, has been at the forefront of research in the design of efficient algorithms for problems in matching markets, graph matching and algorithmic game theory, producing fundamental results that have resulted in high quality and high impact publications which have appeared in top conferences such as FOCS, STOC, SODA, EC and ICALP, as well as in top journals.

We anticipate one or more full time postdoctoral scholar positions may become available soon and we are looking for capable candidates to join our team. The initial appointment will be for one year. This position requires a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and demonstrated expertise, at the highest level, in algorithm design and more broadly, in theoretical computer science. The ideal candidate would already have publications in top conferences such as those listed above.

Current graduate students who fulfill all other requirements but who have not quite yet completed their Ph.Ds. are welcome to apply; however, any offer will be made contingent on successful completion of the degree prior to the employment start date.

Salary to be between $50,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on experience and qualification. Candidates without experience in the area of algorithms and theory are not encouraged to apply.
