Duties and responsibilities The Research Associate will collaborate on research projects within the Mathematical Finance section and will contribute to the activities of the CFM-Imperial Institute of Quantitative Finance. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge problems in Quantitative Finance in close collaboration with leaders in the field and with CFM. The post is a research position only, and teaching is not required. Essential requirements The essential requirements for this post are as follows: •A PhD in Mathematics or a closely related subject (or equivalent), or be close to finishing •Research experience in Quantitative Finance •Evidence of an outstanding research record commensurate with experience as demonstrated, for example, through an outstanding thesis, publications, conference presentations •Ability to deliver high quality scientific talks •Ability to develop and apply new concepts •Excellent written communication skills and the ability to write clearly and succinctly for publication •Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to deal with a wide range of people Further information This is a fixed term contract for 24 months with a preferred start date between April and September 2019.
