PhD Thesis "Artificial Intelligence in Urban Planning and Design"
Imagine
You are part of the AIT urban research hub developing and applying innovative tools and methods for urban design computation.
You contribute to the AIT Cities Intelligence Lab and develop applications and use cases for it.
Engage
You are passionate for innovative digital urban design approaches, data analysis and visualization.
You create new urban planning and design methods for data analysis and optimization of the urban fabric.
You contribute ideas for new research projects and urban design and analysis tools.
Achieve
You will increase your knowledge and experience in the innovative application of Artificial Intelligence methods (Machine Learning, etc.) for urban planning and design.
You develop prototypical applications of your research results for urban planning demonstration projects.
You publish research results at conferences and in international journals and you will gain international visibility.
Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner (m/f):
Degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Computer Science or related field
Very good knowledge in design computing tools like Rhino3D/Grasshopper, knowledge in spatial data processing
Good knowledge in a programming language (e.g. C#. Java, Python, etc.).
Very good English language and presentation skills
What to expect:
EUR 1.079,19 gross for 30 hours/week based on the collective agreement. There will be additional company benefits! You will be part of our international AIT PhD community and participate in our AIT PhD framework program. As a research institution, we are familiar with the supervision and execution of PhD theses and we are looking forward to supporting you accordingly!
