Assistant Professor of Information Sciences and TechnologyPenn State University Campus/Location: Penn State Abington DescriptionThe Division of Science and Engineering at Penn State University Abington College is seeking a Tenure-track Assistant Professor of Information Sciences Technology (Cybersecurity) to start in August of 2020. This is a nine-month appointment with excellent fringe benefits that include retirement plans, health, dental, vision, and prescription drug insurance, reduced tuition rates for dependents, and optional long-term disability insurance. The review process will begin February 24th and continue until the positions are filled. Minimum qualifications are:a Ph.D. in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Data Communication and Networking; knowledge of standardization, including ISO, ITU_T, BSI, ANSI, NIST and NICE; and knowledge of CISSP, CISA, CEH and/or SSCP certification. Preference will be given to candidates with the one or more of the following: experience in teaching ethical hacking, offensive security, digital forensics, malware analysis, and legal and regulatory issues in information security and privacy; and teaching experience at the undergraduate level, involving students from diverse ethnic, racial, and socio-economic backgrounds. The successful candidate will be expected to: : teach nine contact hours per semester; advise a variety of IST and Cybersecurity majors; develop a robust research program that involves undergraduate students and can lead to external grant funding; and provide service to the Division and College.
