Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Applied Mathematics, School of Mathematical Sciences

12 Month, Fixed-term, Whole-time Post

Position summary

We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Position to investigate stability and tipping points in the Irish healthcare system. The Post-Doctoral Researcher will be part of a cross-disciplinary research team including members of the Applied Mathematics Group at UCC, health industry experts from Laya Healthcare/AIG and medical consultants at Mercy University Hospital in Cork. The Post-Doctoral Researcher will be based in the UCC School of Mathematical Sciences which provides a vibrant and friendly research environment with expertise including Dynamical Systems, Analysis of PDEs, Critical Transitions and Tipping Points, Network Dynamics, Machine Learning, Agent-based Modelling and Scientific Computing. The Post-Doctoral Researcher will be required to spend part of the project working closely with healthcare industry experts at the headquarters of Laya Healthcare in Cork.
