Subject/subject description
Computer game development ref ers to the development of digital games, which is a major application area within computer and systems sciences. 

Main responsibilities
The position holder shall conduct teaching, course development and have course responsibility at the department's education at basic and advanced leve! in computer game development. Teaching and supervision within the master program Design for Creative and lmrnersive Technology rnight also be performed.

The position holder shall also initiate and conduct research and postgraduate education in the field of digital games.

The teaching refers to, for example, courses in the areas of AI (artificial intelligence) in cornputer games and design of computer games, as well as supervision of bachelor and master theses in computer game developrnent, computer games and XR (extended reality).

The employee must also be involved in the department's cooperation with the business community and the surrounding community. 

The position includes competence and research time allocation in accordance with employment terms and conditions.

Qualification requirements
Eligible applicants for the position of senior lecturer should hold a PhD in Computer and Systems Sciences, in Computer Games, or in a comparable area; or have equivalent research skills and have demonstrated teaching expertise.

Teaching proficiency should normally have been demonstrated through teaching experience at both the undergraduate- and master's levels. Teaching proficiency should be well documented and in a manner that makes it possible to assess the quality of the teaching activities. 

The applicant must have both good theoretical knowledge and practical experience in computer game development.

The applicant must have good knowledge of Swedish and English as the teaching is mainly in Swedish and the teaching literature is mainly in English.

The applicant must have the ability to cooperate with colleagues as well as other abilities that are required in order successfully to meet the demands of the position.

Assessment criteria
Special emphasis will be placed on research skills in the computer games area or in a comparable area.

Strong emphasis will be placed on educational skills and experience in computer games.

Strong emphasis will be placed on a documented ability to cooperate well with colleagues and fellow researchers.

Strong emphasis will be placed on both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in computer game development.

Emphasis will be placed on administrative skills and proven collaboration with the surrounding society and dissernination of research and development findings.

Emphasis will be placed on having successfully planned, applied for and obtained research project funds from externa! research funding bodies.

Emphasis will be placed on both theoretical knowledge and practical experience of Al and XR in computer games.

Emphasis will be placed on bolh lheorelical knowledge and practical experience of design and design processes, primarily regarding computer games.

Emphasis will be placed on experience of doctoral student supervision.

It is a merit to have completed at least 15 higher education credits in teaching and learning in higher education or to have otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge.
