fantastic opportunity has arisen to work in the Faculty of Engineering as a Teaching Technologist.

Supporting students studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EE), the main objective of the role is to enable students to "do interesting and creative things in relation to the curriculum".

The Teaching Technologist (TT) will work within the Teaching Technologist Team to shape the way the school supports students' project-based learning and their experiences in developing new technologies. The TT will also work in partnership with leading academics to encourage and enable exciting teaching practices to happen. Most importantly, the TT will exercise initiative and pragmatism to help bring ambitious ideas to life.

The Teaching Technologist will support students' curricular projects by providing encouragement, technical advice and specialist tooling. This is a demanding and varied role, and day-to-day may include: advising students on scoping the software and hardware behind a novel embedded system; researching, prototyping and building cutting-edge teaching tools; being the main point of contact within the specialised project labs; managing and maintaining resources associated with innovative teaching; working with academic and Technical Services team members to improve the student experience...and many other things!

This post is being offered on a full-time, permanent contract. It is anticipated that interviews will take place shortly after the closing date.
