We seek to appoint a candidate who will contribute particularly to the delivery of high-quality Mathematics teaching for students on the Science and Engineering Foundation Programme (SEFP) and Core Maths Support for students undertaking BSc degrees in the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences.


The post-holder will lead on the teaching and assessment of the Mathematics modules run in SBCS. This will include developing existing material in conjunction with the Director of Foundation Programmes and the Director of Taught Programmes.


Applicants should have an Undergraduate degree and Postgraduate degree and/or relevant professional qualification and/or equivalent professional experience.


Applicants must have appropriate subject knowledge and have proven ability to teaching at foundation and undergraduate level.


This is a full-time and permanent post. The successful post holder must be able to start as soon as possible. The salary scale will be in the range of £40,182 - £50,030 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Salary will be according to qualifications, skills and experience. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, and defined benefit pension scheme.


Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
