Post-Doctoral Researcher in computer science FOR BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING (BIM) (M/F) Fixed term contract | Fulltime/40h | Belval
Context
The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is appointing a Junior R&T Associate for the RDI Group "Digital Built Environment Management", which is part of the "IT for Innovative Services" (ITIS) Department.
The RDI Group "Digital Built Environment Management" carries out research in digital technologies applied to buildings and construction. Digital models, e.g. Building Information Modeling, play a significant role in the design, construction and management of built environment nowadays. Beyond building engineering, BIM extended to energy modelling and simulation, or usage modelling, paves the way to optimized decision-making as well as smart buildings and cities.
The candidate will join the 4DCollab project which addresses collaborative 4D/BIM usages through a prospective ergonomics approach. It aims at defining innovative collaborative construction work practices, enabling multi-disciplinary decision-making through novel interaction techniques with 4D/BIM models. Further, the project aims to develop a software prototype for implementing 4D-related features, enabling multi-user decision-making.
