Part time (0.5FTE, 18.5 hours per week), permanent opportunity

Salary – £38,833 - £49,149 per annum (pro rata)

Expanding our STEM portfolio is a key strategic priority for York St John University. Alongside rebalancing the University’s humanities and sciences portfolio this will open up new opportunities and inspire an intellectual renaissance on campus. We are seeking to recruit a Senior Lecturer in Mathematical Sciences. The role is offered part-time (0.5 FTE), with a possibility of full-time opportunities arising. The working pattern is negotiable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the Undergraduate Curriculum for Mathematical Sciences (Mathematics and Data Science), and lead on programme validation and accreditation. A well-developed record of research publications and grant success within the discipline is considered essential. The successful candidate is also expected to have experience of curriculum development in STEM, alongside knowledge of the subject benchmark statements within the discipline.  You will lead the development and delivery of Mathematical Sciences within the Office of the PVC Science, under their direction.
