The ideal candidate must have a PhD in partial differential equations or related areas, and have demonstrated a capacity to produce world-class research. They will have experience in analysis and numerical simulation of partial differential equations, gradient flows and stochastic multiscale modelling of particle systems. The salary will be on the standard University scale depending on previous research experience.

Duties would include developing and conducting individual and collaborative research objectives, proposals and projects. Candidates will be expected to plan and manage their own research and administration, with guidance if required. They must be able to communicate material of a technical nature and be able to build internal and external contacts.
