The Department of Information Systems at University of Münster with its research network ERCIS – European Research Center for Information Systems – is an international network of scientists who passionately conduct research at the intersection of management and technology. The Chair of Information Systems & Business Process Management (Prof. Dr. Jan vom Brocke) is an internationally recognized team that is continuously gaining insights into the use of innovative digital technologies in business and society. The Chair is committed to working at the forefront of research and significantly advances practice in addressing real world challenges through digital technologies. We are constantly publishing in leading journals such as Management Information Systems Quarterly (MISQ), Information Systems Research (ISR), Journal of Management Information Systems (JMIS), Management Science, and MIT Sloan Management Review (MIT SMR), and we enjoy an active dialogue with thought leaders from industry and society. The ERCIS Flow Factory is a joint research initiative of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe and ERCIS, which aims to conduct research in the field of process management and artificial intelligence. As part of the Flow Factory, funding partners and scientists work together in research projects on relevant practical issues, design solutions, discuss and evaluate them and then publish them in leading journals.
