The Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) at the University of Luxembourg is a leading international research and innovation centre in secure, reliable and trustworthy ICT systems and services. The Luxembourg National Research Fund (Fonds National de la Recherche - FNR) is the main funder of research activities in Luxembourg (https://www.fnr.lu/). Two funding instruments are in place to support high profile researchers: the ATTRACT for junior researchers (2-8 years after completion of a doctoral degree) and the PEARL for senior researchers. With the support of SnT, the position holder is expected to apply to one of these calls. The Centre is rapidly expanding its research activities and is seeking highly motivated doctoral candidates who wish to pursue research in close cooperation with our partners. Your roleThe successful candidate will conduct research, education, and technology transfer in the area of the Cloud Systems Engineering. The candidate is an internationally recognized scientist in the field with a strong track record of internationally competitive research in relation to the candidate’s career stage. The Chair, supported by Google Cloud, will build/lead a research team at SnT. The position holder will develop a long-term research program and also initiate collaborative research with SnT’s industrial and governmental partners. The candidate is expected to build an international network participating in European and international research projects.
