Overview:
In the School of Computing Technologies, we aim to change student experience by embracing evidence-informed pedagogical strategies, and experimenting with innovative, interactive, digitally enabled student-centred learning experiences. In this role as an Assistant Associate Dean, CSE you will work to identify and implement initiatives which enhance the student and staff experience through the adoption of innovative and creative approaches to pedagogy, challenge-based learning, strategies for team teaching.
You will play a pivotal role in the School’s leadership team with a primary focus in leading the Computer Science Education-focused subgroup of the ITI Discipline, including education-focused academic staff with significant emphasis on computer science education. This role will see you manage, develop and mentor staff to achieve the teaching and research objectives at a College and School levels.
Furthermore, you will further drive research and innovation in Computer Science Education at the tertiary level. This role is not itself strictly education-focused: the selected candidate will be expected to conduct research in computer science education and related topics to drive the innovation needed to ensure RMIT School of Computing Technologies delivers a great education to our students.
To be successful for this position, you will have:
Qualifications Mandatory: Tertiary qualifications including a PhD in a relevant discipline with knowledge and achievements that meet RMIT’s Level D/E criteria.
