Job descriptionJob summaryThe Department is soliciting applications for a faculty position at the Lecturer level (equivalent to Assistant Professor) in the general area of statistical signal processing and wireless communications. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, intelligent signal processing, statistical signal processing, intelligent communications, semantic communications, coding and information theory, wireless communication theory and systems, cross-layer design and cooperative communications. In addition to core expertise in signal processing and communications, we welcome candidates with strong interest in cross-disciplinary research in applied math and machine learning for signal processing and communications. Duties and responsibilitiesAppointees will be expected to interact with groups inside and outside the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering across Imperial College. The appointees will: • Plan and direct relevant research programmes of outstanding international quality • Publish in high quality scientific journals • Successfully attract funds for research initiatives • Supervise research staff and students • Advance the reputation of the department • Take on departmental administration when requested by the Head of Department.
