Job Description:Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:Teach undergraduate and graduate-level Mathematics classes as assigned. Required Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree in Mathematics (or related discipline) Preferred Qualifications:Ph.D. in Mathematics (or similar discipline) Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching mathematics At least 10 years post-PhD professional experience Expertise in extremal graph theory and forbidden poset theory Experience in conference and workshop organization
Department/Program & College Description:The Department of Mathematics provides a vibrant intellectual environment and includes about 35 tenure-eligible faculty, 25 teaching faculty and postdoctoral associates, and 70 graduate students. The department offers undergraduate degrees, M.S. and Ph.D. programs in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, and a post-baccalaureate certificate program. The Department is housed in Carver Hall, whose naming in honor of George Washington Carver reflects the university’s long-standing commitment to diversity.
