Job Purpose

The objective is to fill the position of Mathematics & Mathematical Literacy in the SP&FET Department with a part-time staff member with expertise in this area.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • A relevant Master’s degree in Mathematics and/or Mathematical Literacy
  • Mathematics as a major in undergraduate qualification
  • A relevant teaching qualification (preferable at secondary or high school level)
  • At least five (5) years’ relevant teaching experience in SP & FET Phase at school level or two (2) years’ relevant lecturing experience at tertiary level
  • Specialized knowledge of methodologies of teaching Mathematics & Mathematical Literacy
