Lecturer in StatisticsFACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES DEPARTMENT OF STATISTICS VACANCY NO: IRC 1644 Applicants are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Lecturer in the Department of Statistics, Faculty of Social Sciences Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: i) teach undergraduate and graduate level courses especially Probability or reliability ii) supervise undergraduate, Masters and PhD student research as need may arise; iii) participate in all academic and professional activities of the department including research; iv) carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department. Requirements: Candidates should have: i) at least a relevant Doctorate in Statistics; ii) a relevant Masters’ Degree in Statistics; iii) a relevant Bachelors’ degree in Statistics; iv) evidence of engagement in research. Evidence of governance and social engagement, teaching at the University or comparable institution as well as area of interest in Probability or reliability will be added advantages. NB: Applicants with a Master’s degree in Statistics or related field with a relevant Bachelor’s degree of at least a 2.1 pass//GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent may be considered under special circumstances.
