Primarily, there is scope for qualifications in research, but also for some higher education pedagogy training. Teaching may also be part of the duties (max. 20%). You will work on the extension of the DUNE-FEM package to support computations on GPU hardware with various types of Finite Element methods. This work is embedded in a research project considering structure preserving Finite Element methods for multiphase flows with applications in X-ray tomography. The assessment of the applicants will primarily be based on their research qualifications and potential as researchers. Particular emphasis will be placed on research skills within the subject. Consideration will also be given to how the applicant’s experience and skills complement and strengthen ongoing research within the department and how they stand to contribute to its future development. Terms of EmploymentThis is a full-time, fixed-term employment of two years. The period of employment is determined in accordance with the agreement “Avtal om tidsbegränsad anställning som postdoktor” (“Agreement on fixed-term employment as a post-doctoral fellow”). A postdoctoral position is intended as an initial step in your career and as an opportunity to further deepen and broaden your research expertise. Preferred start date of the position is May 1st, but no later than September 1st 2026.
