The Division of Computational Mathematics focuses on mathematical modelling and computational methods for studying complex systems, ranging from molecular structures to climate dynamics. Current research areas include: Program logic and theorem proving Computational biology and genomics Numerical analysis of PDEs (e.g., ice and ocean dynamics) Computational statistics and machine learning Algorithm design and discrete mathematics More information: Department of Mathematics Project Description The position focuses on algorithms for large-scale sequence analysis and computational genomics. The candidate will have flexibility to shape research directions, complementing ongoing projects such as: Structural variation detection Long-read RNA-seq processing Read mapping applications in metagenomics Applicants are encouraged to propose research ideas that extend or complement the current work. Project Description
