The Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) is an interdisciplinary research centre of the University of Luxembourg. We conduct fundamental and translational research in the field of Systems Biology and Biomedicine – in the lab, in the clinic and in silico. We focus on neurodegenerative processes and are especially interested in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease and their contributing factors. Your role The successful candidate will contribute to the development of reliable, reproducible and reusable AI infrastructure for biomedical research, supporting the transition of machine-learning (ML) methods from research prototypes into robust and deployable workflows. The role involves close collaboration with data scientists, software developers, infrastructure teams, clinicians and European project partners. The position combines MLOps engineering, research software development and technical coordination across cloud, High-Performance Computing (HPC) and federated research environments. A key focus will be the development of automated and reproducible AI workflows that can be reliably deployed and reused across different research infrastructures. The candidate will also contribute to technical architecture, interoperability, data governance and the development of sustainable AI services supporting biomedical research projects. This position is particularly suited to candidates interested in bridging ML, software engineering and translational biomedical research within a highly collaborative European environment.
