Position Summary The Department of Computer Science at the University of Denver (DU) is building an academically and culturally diverse faculty and staff who teach and work in a supportive environment surrounded by people with a strong commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). We invite applications for one full-time, non-tenure track Teaching Series faculty position beginning September 1, 2023. The position is open rank (Teaching Associate Professor or Teaching Professor appointments are possible for well-qualified applicants). The teaching series career path features contracts that start at one year of duration for new assistant professors but can grow to durations of five years for associate professors and seven years for full professors. All teaching positions are considered full members of the faculty. Essential Functions The hired individuals will be responsible for teaching introductory, higher-level undergraduate, and possibly graduate level computer science courses. Duties include teaching six courses per year in a quarter-based system, advising students, participating in department activities, supporting equity, diversity, and inclusivity efforts, and performing departmental and university service.
