Research Associate in interdisciplinary research project “InsAIderKnowledge - Spatial Structure Estimation of Buildings from Outer Building Envelopes” funded by the Georg-Nemetschek-Institute with the option for a Doctoral Degree25.08.2025, Wissenschaftliches Personal The Chair of Architectural Informatics at the Technical University of Munich is looking for a research associate (m/w/d) for the research in the frame of the project InsAIderKnowledge funded by the Georg-Nemetschek-Institute for the duration of 48 Months. The candidate has the opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree (PhD). Renumeration is 100% TVL E13 according to the German Public Sector Rates. The interdisciplinary team at the Chair of Architectural Informatics deals with digitalization topics in the fields of architecture in teaching and research and serves as a bridge between the fields of computer sciences and architecture. The focus lies mainly on Building Information Modelling, decision-support methods in urban planning and knowledge-based design methods. As part of the interdisciplinary research project “InsAIderKnowledge - Spatial Structure Estimation of Buildings from Outer Building envelopes” funded by the Georg-Nemetschek-Institute, methods of artificial intelligence for the built environment will be developed in collaboration with teams led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Niessner (Chair of Visual Computing and Artificial Intelligence, School of Computation, Information and Technology) and Prof. Andreas Hild (Professorship of Architectural Design, Rebuilding and Conservation).
