Research Associate/Fellow (Fixed-term)
We are looking for a researcher, whose expertise lies in Mathematical Neuroscience, to work with Professor Stephen Coombes on an EPSRC- funded project entitled “White matter networks”. The central aim of the project is to build a new mathematical framework for biologically motivated neural networks to help understand the important contribution that activity-dependent regulation of myelination can make to patterns of rhythmic activity known to subserve important aspects of large-scale brain dynamics and its dysfunction. This position is available from 17 May 2021 (or as soon as possible thereafter) and will be offered on a fixed-term contract until 16 May 2023. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week), however job share arrangements may be considered.
