About This Opportunity Research: Design antenna and scanning platforms for the project, collaborate on ongoing and new research projects, seek and participate in drafting research funding, publish in reputable journals as lead author, utilize best practice research methodologies, and participate in project discussions.
Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise students provide day-to-day supervision, performance feedback and training to PhD students.
Citizenship and Service: Demonstrate citizenship behaviours that align to the UQ values, collaborate and actively participate in unit activities, assist other academic positions and unit operations during absences, contribute to service roles, administrative processes, decision-making, and committees, engage in service activities outside the unit, develop relationships with industry, government, professional bodies, and the community.

About YouCompletion or near completion of a PhD in in the discipline of applied electromagnetics and antenna engineering (or a closely related field). An emerging profile in research in the discipline area. Proficiency in electromagnetic modelling and/or commercial simulation tools (CST/HFSS), in antenna technology, RF circuits and RF measurements. Evidence of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences. Evidence of contributions towards successfully obtaining external research funding. Evidence of industrial experience or past involvement in industry-funded projects is a plus. Familiarity with signal processing techniques is a plus.
