Research Position in Electrical Engineering Post-doctor and Research Professorship positions in CMOS millimeter- and terahertz-wave integrated circuit and system design at POSTECH, Korea are opened.
Job description We are recruiting goal-oriented, creative, collaborative and highly motivated Postdoctoral and Junior/Senior research fellow. Research project is about advanced RF transceivers and functional blocks operating at 100 GHz or higher with cutting-edge 40/28nm-CMOS technologies, under strong support by Ministry of Science and ICT, Korea for seven years in 2018 – 2024. The research team is operating one of three Keysight-brand labs in Asia. The research and development targets four major sections: (1) 100+ Gbps THz communication transceivers at sub-terahertz frequencies; (2) Novel built-in-test techniques for self-calibrating B5G/6G analog beamformer transceivers; (3) high performance mm/THz wave functional blocks, particularly RF-DAC based power amplifiers and low phase noise signal sources; (4) heterogeneous integrations with wafer-level packaging technologies for massive antenna array. Other aspects related to the mm/THz integrated circuits will be also be investigated.
Requirements and benefit The applicant must have a PhD in RF circuit design and microwave engineering. A experience in mm-wave analog beamformer circuit design, highly efficient RF power amplifiers, or RF-DAC is very preferred. The applicant should have good communication skills and open mind living in Korea. Annual salary will be approximately $42,000 ~ $60,000 in USD, but not limited to.
