The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is seeking to appoint two Teaching Associates, each for a fixed term of nine months. You should demonstrate a clear potential for being a capable and enthusiastic contributor to the Department's undergraduate programmes. An interest in mathematical pedagogy and mathematics teaching in schools would be an advantage but is not essential.

This is an exciting time to join us. Lancaster is one of the UK's top departments in Mathematics and Statistics, ranked 5th overall in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework, and 3rd for the impact of its research. The department provides an environment which aims to meet the individual needs of each member of staff. We are committed to family-friendly and flexible working policies, and seek to promote a healthy work-life balance. The Department achieved its own Athena SWAN Bronze award in 2017 and is a registered supporter of the London Mathematical Society's  Good Practice Scheme.

Informal enquiries may be made to the Head of Department, Dr Alexander Belton (a.belton@lancaster.ac.uk), or the Head of Undergraduate Teaching, Dr Mark MacDonald (m.macdonald@lancaster.ac.uk).
