in the context of the Einstein Center "Digital Future" as endowed professorship for the subject "Digital Engineering 4.0" .


Task description:

Perception of research and teaching in the area of future-oriented data provision and integration of technological innovations for new digital and data-driven working methods and organization forms of engineering in the age of Industry 4.0. In doing so, both the engineering requirements and the information technology options should be considered. It is expected to explore new information technology solutions for the dynamic structuring of digital product models needed to model, secure and leverage smart products (ie products with a high degree of cross-linking) and digital twins of automotive engineering products.


Expected qualifications:

Fulfillment of the appointment requirements acc. Section 100 BerlHG; These include a university degree, scientific achievements (doctorate), habilitation or habilitation-equivalent services, as well as pedagogical didactic suitability, as proven by a teaching portfolio (for more information, see the TUB website direct access 144242). 
The * future job holder * is expected to have proven scientific knowledge in the above mentioned area of application related technology research (such as IT Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering Engineering) and the ability to develop technical and IT system solutions.
It is looking for a personality with a high level of cooperation in science and industry as well as the ability to lead a working group. First practical work experiences with international orientation are desirable. At the same time, experience in teaching and participation in research projects in the fields of digitization and technology development are required. Experience in soliciting and possibly also the management of national and international third-party funded projects is required. Good English skills are desired.
